THE FLAT: 200 m2, in an typical building within downtown Madrid more than 100 years old, but in very good condition and high-quality. It is a second floor without lift, with high ceilings, big windows/balconies of which some are closed like a terrace. It is divided into two sections with a common hall. At the left wing, with 3 bedrooms, 2 double and 1 single, there is also diferents inflatables beds, big and other for childs and a travelling cradle; there is a small dining-room, kitchen and two bathrooms- the one in the hall with separate WC . We rent this wing to foreign students from September to June, so it would be free for exchange in end June, July, August and beginning September. There is another single bedroom in the hall that would be included in the exchange if it were free. The other wing, to the right, has its own entrance door in the hall and contains three bigger loft-like bedrooms (15, 20 and 25 m2) so there is no separate living-room; all bedrooms include double beds, cable TV- the biggest also with DVD-, tables, chairs, and armchairs, with another kitchen, one complete bathroom and toilet, which we rent yearly, so it would only be available for exchanges some days. We would exchange one of the wings as independent flats, and one or more bedrooms for hospitality exchanges.
The house will be thoroughly cleaned before and after your stay, so there is no need for you to clean anything before you go, but we kindly ask you to leave it tidy. Our housekeeper, a nice woman from Filipinas, cleans once a week; she is also available if you need her to go more often -10 euros/hour. She can also baby-sit if you need it -price negotiable.
EXCHANGES ONLY IN SUMMERS: The left side of the house is available for exchanges every year, only in late June, July, August and the first days of September. Nevertheless, we can travel during other periods and we are very flexible. In Xmas, the home´ll be empty because the students go on holidays and their bedro

OLD CENTER IN MADRID: The condominium is situated in the famous area of Los Austrias, where you can find the Royal Palace and the Almudena Cathedral. It is in La Latina district, right at La Latina Square, where the famous El Rastro flea market starts on Sundays. It is very close to Cava Baja, the place to be if you want to enjoy our tapas along with some drinks Spanish style, and nearby Plaza Mayor and Puerta del Sol, where KM 0 of all roads in Spain starts.
At La Latina Square there is a taxi rank, several bus stops and the very convenient underground station of La Latina. You can easily come from the airport by taxi –some 30 euro and no more than an hour, depending on the traffic- or by underground, with two changes and a small supplement on the fare, but it will be less than 2 euro if you buy a ticket for 6 or 10 trips, always wise as you can also use it for busses.
In the surrounding streets you can also find many shops and some of the most famous restaurants in Madrid, like Casa Botin, Casa Lucio y Malacatín, or some other cheaper ones but also very good like Casa Rodriguez in steet Maldonadas, way from squares La Latina and Cascorro. You’ll find supermarkets, a very big grocery market, an indoor swimming pool and a gym, both just in front of the well-known La Latina Theatre.
