Among the many activities available at Greystone Manor on Golden Lake, fishing is one of the most popular. At Golden Lake you can catch Pike, Walleye, Large and Small Mouth Bass. Fun for first timers or the more experienced angler. Go for a family canoe on the Bonecehere river. Canoeing, paddle boating and kayaking provide fun activities for people of all ages. Go for a jog on the beach or take a ride on our mountain bikes and specialty bikes including a two-seated tardier bicycle or unicycle. Play with your kids in the sand or in our boats on the lake which has a sandy bottom, is warm and is very clean. Other great activities during the summer season at Greystone Manor on Golden Lake includes the swimming pool were everyone can cool off, take a dive, make a splash or even enjoy the summer heat laying on the pool deck. A day trip could take you on a canoeing adventure in the Barron Canyon in Algonquin Park or adventurous whitewater rafting on the Ottawa River. Or you may want to explore one of the great local wonders - The Bonnechere Caves. In winter time, you can keep yourself busy at Greystone by skating, cross country and down hill skiing, snow shoeing, ice fishing and snowmobiling. DRIVING DIRECTIONS -------------- * Driving from OTTAWA - In Renfrew take Hwy 60 to/through Eganville to Golden Lake, then to Deacon. Drive through Deacon to McNee Road, and turn left on McNee Drive, along the lake, to 144 McNee Drive. 24km from Eganville. Approx. 1.5 hrs from Ottawa. * Driving from TORONTO - In Barry's Bay take Hwy 60 east for 26 km to the bridge in Deacon, turn right on McNee Road and continue to 144 McNee Drive. Approx. 3.5 hrs from Toronto
